Legal Notices

General: Health Literacy Innovations does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information, apparatus, product, or process disclosed. Health Literacy Innovations, LLC assumes no legal liability of any kind regarding the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information, apparatus, product or process disclosed. The Health Literacy Advisor is a voluntary, optional tool to suggest "easy to use" literate health care terms. The information contained in the Health Literacy Advisor and this website is not supplied for use in the treatment of any type of medical condition. Rather, the information is solely intended for your general information only and is not a substitute for medical advice or treatment for specific medical conditions. You should always seek the advice, care and/or treatment for any health related issue from your physician and/or other appropriate medical provider, and it is recommended that you do so before beginning any form of care and/or treatment.

Unsupported Versions of Word: Microsoft has officially ended support for versions of Microsft Office Word older than Word 2007. While the Health Literacy Advisor (HLA) will run on Word 2002/XP and 2003, Health Literacy Innovations does not warrant or guarantee that all features will be available. In particular, the ReadsEasy Document Assessment tool (REDA) is only available on Word 2007 and later, and Office File Validation may report a problem trying to install the HLA. Since these older versions of Word no longer receive security updates from Microsoft, Health Literacy Innovations strongly recommends that you upgrade to a new version of Word.
